Summer...
This is not a season, but a state of mind. The moment when you stop looking forward to its beginning portends the end of childhood. Summer is a place. For some, this place is a dacha where his parents sent him off, for someone - the sea, the beach, travel and recreation. For some it is forest, barbecue, nature. And for some - all at once, if you're lucky. Summer is emotions. For example, negative, if the sun is burning, and leaving the house, you can easily get burned, or negative, if it is raining, because there is slush outside, and now you cannot walk without an umbrella and boots ... but it’s like someone else. Summer is an insect. Even if you lock yourself in your high-rise building, it will knock on your window like a fly. Or peep with a mosquito over your ear). And of course, Summer is a heat, sometimes perceptibly pressing on you with a hot press. Summer is also a moment between the anticipation of summer holidays and the realization that August ends tomorrow ...
I drew this work while sitting at my work on a summer day, at a time when I had no assignments. It is dedicated to the cycle of works on the Madness Day group, but at the same time it is generally about my melancholy that day. I was inspired by the works of Alexei Andreev, whose creativity I met at that time, and the style of Jamie Hewlett, to whom the Madness Day robot series is dedicated.
So it goes.
